About Me:
I'm innately kind, generous, giving, loving, compassionate, cheerful, optimistic and witty. I have a high degree of empathy for people, and sympathy for those less fortunate than I. I'm intuitive about other people's motivations--I read people pretty well, although I've been duped a few times. I enjoy making connections with everyone I meet, on every level, any place, throughout each day, including the panhandlers at stop lights. I talk on the phone for a living, so I get a lot of practice.
I bike and swim nearly everyday. Was about 90% vegetarian until my daughter stopped being one a couple of months ago. Now she craves meat, so I eat more meat. About 65% vegetarian and 35% meat-atarian.
I was with my ex-wife for 24 years. We split mutually and amicably. We share a 17-year-old daughter, so we keep in touch regularly. After the divorce, I was in a 3-year relationship. More recently in a 6-month relationship.
I'm not actively seeking a long-term relationship, but never close doors. And when the right person comes along, I know how to commit. At the same time, I don't think enough people understand that there are lots of types/levels/degrees of mutually beneficial relationships between the opposite poles of "single" and "long-term couple." And for that, many miss out on wonderful experiences.
My real strength is in writing. I'm also an editor. I'm good at intuiting people's feelings. Teaching/coaching. Collecting/listening to music—I'm a lifelong amateur music historian. Playing with my dog. Parenting a daughter. Being loyal to friends. Having good intentions.
